Dan Young is Managing Director of Ogilvy PR’s brand marketing division, Pulse. He leads a team of 30 creatives and communications strategists across Sydney and Melbourne in the development of culturally relevant and commercially impactful campaigns for a range of brand name clients including Ford, ebay, Netflix, Tourism Australia, Xbox and KFC. Dan has worked as a consultant in communication strategy, social and digital marketing for more than twenty years. During this time, he has worked with some of the world’s largest and most successful brands to deliver highly creative and effective campaigns and always on communication programs. Dan has been an advocate for digital PR and integrated communication strategy throughout his career. He works as a strategist with major clients and is a member of the Ogilvy PR leadership team. Dan is passionate about innovation in marketing and the opportunity for organisations to increase marketing effectiveness with more creative and connected strategies. He has played a lead role in the development of Ogilvy’s digital products including Envoy (influencer marketing), Compass (proprietary measurement framework) and Culture Converted (consumer performance marketing). His previous roles include a client-side role at eBay and PayPal, senior agency postings and a three-year period running his own digital consultancy in Sydney. Dan was appointed to the position of Managing Director, Pulse on April 1st 20202. He was previously the agency’s Chief Digital Officer, a position he held of four years.
